Workshops: Ornamental pattern printing workshop

The Museum  of Decorative Arts and Design offers creative activities of ornamental pattern printing on cotton using wooden blocks from Turkey and India. The workshop artist introduces everybody with the origin and specific application of this technique. Alongside also the history of this technique in Latvian crafts up to the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century is accentuated. 
It is possible to print on the fabric which the visitor has brought with him or make prints on any cotton article bought on the spot.
